Here is some of the latest from Atlas. Congratulations to the new hires! I wish there could of been more. Some good news is we have everybody off of furlough that wants to be. Some bad news is the down-grades and seat/base changes. Nobody likes to see this happen. Business seems to be holding steady with several good possibilities happening in the near future.
"With regard to the Classic fleet, we are taking the following steps. We will be increasing our contingent of Classic first officers by 29. This will be accomplished through the following: We have recalled two First Officers from furlough. We have awarded FO upgrade to one qualified Flight Engineer. We have extended job offers to six new-hire pilots and finally, 5 Classic Captains will be reassigned to First Officer positions."
"We are also adding eight new FE positions to our current staffing levels."
"With regard to the -400 fleet, to address the FO understaffing and Captain overstaffing, six -400 Captains will transition to -400 FOs. We are also transitioning 16 -400 First Officers to -200 FOs."
