Good news at UPS finally

It appears that we might have turned our staffing corner so to speak. We finally have a seat bid to add 30 crews to the md-11 (however they are taking a few off of other a/c and it will end up with a gain of 11 captain positions) and no displacements or downgrades. this is great news, more bids are due out in december. If this continues it could finally be some movement in the system.

How's the Contract Talks going?

How's the contract talks going?? Have you guys heard anything of interest??? I'm pulling hard for you, as FedEx's contract is up in the summer of 2004... Any news would be nice to hear...
Also hope the hiring will start with both of our comanies is the near future...

The contract

I guess the company came out and said recently that they thought the contract would be wrapped up by December. The union president then made a statement that they disagreed and thought it would be another year, based on the way things were going.
