Going to Baltimore next week and in need of good eats! Went to Obrycki's for crabs last time and while good, not as good as the legend. Any suggestions?? FalconCapt --- any good Brazilian BBQ?
The best crab cakes close to the airport are at The Olive Tree italian restaurant (I believe that is the name, I may be mistaken). Anyway, it's about a two mile drive from Signature. The folks there will know the one I'm talking about. There is another restaurant about the same distance called
G & M (again, I may have this name slightly wrong) which has a great reputation for its crab cakes, but IMO the Olive Tree folks do a better job. Enjoy.
Go to Bo Brooks for crabs
the terrace inn in Essex is the best, but is way too local for your standards.
McCormick and Scmicks is good and great location away from Harborplace, just remind the waitstaff that you are there for the food and not their company!
Claddaugh Pub in Canton is good, and if you cant wait for their wait just walk in all directions and you are bound to hit something!
Dont go to the Bay Cafe unless you like drinking out of plastic cups as an adult-full-fare-paying customer.
Kali's Court in Fells Point is a must.
I dont know why i didnt start off with that one!
stay in Canton vs Fells Point for food and fun and business
When you get to G &M, turn around and walk right back out the front door. Go across the street and turn right. Go a half block down the road to Howards Subway Bar. Excellent crab cakes. G & M uses way too much breading.
Subject: BBQ.
I don't know if there is any SA BBQ in Baltimore either. However if you can get down to Severna Park try Adam's Ribs. Tasty American style with a sweet honey BBQ sauce or try it the NC way.
Subject: Beer
The hip new part of Baltimore to hang out in is Canton. Cold beer and hot chicks.
