F9 is starting service to SAT in June, after seeing a few missteps in other cities, I am looking for good crew hotels in SAT, prefereably near the River walk area. Thanks Clip......

The Crockett in SAT...spit from there to the Alamo...lots of food/bars...very near Riverwalk...older place...nicely kept...stayed there many years. You WILL like it.

If you need to be near the Airport, the Embassy is probably the best option. I go there every 6 months for rec training. The Doubletree is also very nice. But a bit pricey. If it's riverwalk you want, the Westin is the best by far! I toured it with a friend who gets a military discount rate. I think the normal rate is around $200/night. There are plenty of options dowtown. The Marriott is close to the river and probably a bit less expensive. You have to eat at "The County Line" restaraunt on the river. I love their bbq ribs! If you need any more info PM me I'll be glad to help.

I've stayed at the Crockett and the Riverwalk Marriott, (at 2 different airlines). Think Rosie O'Donnell=Crockett, Catherine Bell=Riverwalk Marriott!

i live near CAK. If you can get a downtown Akron hotel that would be great. but more than likely you will end up just south of the airport near the mall. PM me for more info!

Most Airlines use the Sheraton Four Points near the mall in CAK. It's pretty good.
