half the guys that work there have thick accents and are working on fake green cards....maybee he's one of them. So relative to airline contracts in, say, Kazakstan (mispelled) Gojets is probably much better.
But relative to this country, it's one of the worst, on top of being as close as it gets to a SCAB.
Looking at aviationinterviews some guy who interviewed is saying that gojets has one of the best contracts. If that's so then how come no ones been talking about it, any gojets like to comment?
haha what up Brad! Whats it like listening to your clearence in "clicks"I actually turned down a contract to fly the CRJ in Kazakstan. It only paid FO's $6000/month which would have been a pay cut.
Oh yeah, Gojets sucks!!!
I don't think they have block or better, or at least didn't when they started up on a skeleton crew of airline washouts and TSA sellouts.
Enjoy the penalty box, thats where all of your careers ought to be.
It's sad they stain the name Lindberg. Some goatjets scab would have been waiting in Paris for him to land, thrown him into the mob of people and then climbed into the airplane and taken all the credit!!!
Ok Guys MESA don't even have anything like completion factor. Also it's only 8 days off minimum and at GoJet is 10 for reserve guys.
First year pay either as an FO or Capt. GoJet pays more than Mesa, Pinacle, Colgan, Great Lakes, to name few regionals.
Also Comute clause. GoJet has it most of the regionals don't even think about missing a flight or you'll be on the street.
You know what I am tired of people bashing something they don't even know.
First of all I know for sure that Colgan and Great Lakes shouldn't be in this list because they fly turboprops and Colgan (at least when I was there) had pay rates that were in line with most companies that flew the same equipment the 1900. Does Pinnacle even fly CRJ 700s?? If not then they don't belong on the list either. Mesa does fly 700s but it is a known fact that Mesa sucks so being better than them does not really mean anything. How do the Gojet rates look compared to other CRJ 700 operators out there?? I'm too lazy to look but I know that what was offered when they started up they were well below other 700 pay rates so yes the contract still sucks.
..all of the above is MY opinion and nothing more, but MAYBE we should lay off the go jet guys....
ILOVEBEER and ANDYD:
Scab and Honorary Scab, respectively.
The way you girls throw around the word scab, you clearly don't even know the meaning. When I crossed at United and Continental at least I deserved to be called a scab. You don't know sh!t junior...
apparently the HR depts at the majors don't care either. there was a go-jets guy in my class at DAL, i've heard that there was 2 in the last NWA class and 1 in the last UAL class (i may have the last 2 transposed). Go Jets pilots of past (pre-union and pre-conctract guys/gals) are the ones you could relate closest to a scab in MY opinion. The current Go Jet pilot group......the ones hired post union/contract are NO different than any other regional pilot trying to get the first job, get the upgrade and get the pic to move on someday. At least they are unionized at this point.....if there's any fingerpointing to be doing over pilots flying non-union and taking union flying away then direct your attention to Colgan or Skywest (again the majors don't give a rip....1/3 of my dal class was skywest!)...they were given the choice of a union and turned it down. mistake in my opinion and one that will come to bite them in the ass in the future. again..all of the above is MY opinion and nothing more, but MAYBE we should lay off the go jet guys....

I work at GoJets and I think the contract/lifestyle is great. I don't know why everyone gives us such a hard time.
Pretty close Simon. However I do not work for SkyWest any longer and no, I am not resentful. I left the industry before I could hate my job. I think all the name calling is funny though.
