Read an article in "Aviation International News" (Feb 2005) about a Trans States spin off called 'GoJet' that will fly 5 CRJ7's to start with options for 30. The flying will be done as United Express, subject to bankruptcy court approval.
Is this another "Freedom Air" thing? - - and why wouldn't Trans States or Mesa or one the other 234 UEX carriers get this flying?

Chao.

This is a way to avoid the 50 seat jet scope clause with AA. Also a way to whipshaw the union......?

You better believe that this is another freedom air. What gets me is how nobody really gives a crap especially TSA folks. This will be a non-union pilot group that will no doubt have the lowest pay rates in the industry. All you CHQ and Mesa haters might want to give more attention to this one. And if you think United is the only airline they want to partner with, I have some great property in Alaska to sell you.

TWAER You need a shoe horn

1. TSA pilots are very concerned about GoJet.
2. It is not clear if GoJets will be flown by TSA seniority list pilots.
3. Payscales have not been released so you have no idea what they will be.
4. The company has only announced a UAL codeshare, any other codeshares are speculation on your part.
5. If TSA decides to use pilots not on our seniority list it will be clear they're sole purpose is to get around our contract. As a result are union will have a legitimate greivance based on our present contracts language.

It is very embarasing when uninformed individuals make remarks as idiotic as yours.

TSA pilots will need help from other pilot groups to see that this issue is resolved in all of our best intrest. We will share the facts about GoJets with you as we get them, but untill then posts like TWAERs are unproductive and childish.

beat me to it....

TWA, who the h*ll have you been talking to? Are you in new hire class? Like cocknbull said, everyone here is concerned. It was NOT our idea to start this so-far-shady deal. We just push the buttons. Every Captain I have flown with since the announcement came out is skeptical. What are we suppose to do, go up to Uncle Huly and tell him to do the right thing? Also, like everyone has been saying, nothing is firm yet so there is no need to get worked up over anything. We can what if it to death as pilots have been taught to do, but until something is actually put in front of us besides rumors, it's pointless. No one here wants to be part of lowering the bar.

Geez, can anybody spell in here? Good points, but please at least look like we're not a bunch of illiterate idiots. It's hard to convince anyone of our worth when we look like high school dropouts.
But good points guys. I will third the reply that TSA pilots are NOT in favor of this little tactic. And I will leave this company before I set foot in a GoJet cockpit. I mean it.

GoJet is the third alter-ego certificate created because of mainline scope language. We are our own worst enemy and fail to learn the "law of unintended consequences".

1. Freedom was created to fly America West 70 and 90 seat RJs because the USAirways mainline scope prohibited Mesa from flying them on the Mesa certificate.

2. Republic was created at CHQ because the CHQ pilots refused to accept the mainline extortion called "jets4jobs". Therefor Republic was created to fly the E170s.

3. GoJet is being created because of the APA scope language that prohibits an American regional from flying 70 seat and up aircraft even if it is for another airline.

The misguided and ill conceived mainline scope languages are to blame for these alter-ego airlines. Will we ever learn ?????

I'm afraid not. We should've seen it coming.

There is lots of CQFOF's in TSA

Many of them come from TWA and yes they have their head up in their a.s.s!

Wish luck for TSA, Good pilot group and company wants to get bigger!

What does that mean?

Got problems with understanding!

Doesnt it say in FAR that you need to be able to read, write and understand english in order to get pilot license!

Thank God it doesn't say anything about grammar.

Anyone know the last name of the person behind this operation ?

Do you mean HK? Hulas Kanodia.

To ACA Terry
Thank you for trading in the pass you wrote and taking my WN jumpseat,a$$hole. I didn't need the $31 it cost me, nor the last minute runningall around from place to place like a chicken with no head it took toget the approval to write one without a letter on hand.
I hope you enjoyed watching me have to nearly lose my ride to work (wehave no commuter clause you know) while you were on pleasure travel (Ioverheard you).
BTW, about the lady next to you in the gate area...you weren'timpressing her with your "I'm a pilot" banter. Didn't her rolling hereyes give you a hint that all she wanted was for someone to put anapple in your mouth so you'd shut the he11 up?
Nice attempt at a uniform...Sporty's pilot shop eppaulettes, DOCKERS,and those BROWN shoes!!! The FAA should take your license for extremedorkism! And while I am at it...you little vomitonion, treat the gate agent with a little respect. What he should havedone was tell you to get lost with the attitude you gave him.

To the WN Captain on that flight, thanks for trying, you did yourbest.I had no idea that an ops agent could be such a tool. I couldn'tbelieve it when he threatened to write you up for that.
To the supervisor who approved me to write the pass without the letter, thank you! You saved my bacon.
To the gate agent, thanks to you too, you did a beautiful job of getting me on literally at the last second.
To the CHQ guy who had the other jumpseat, thanks for the offer to helppay for the pass. Classic gesture of a true brother in pilothood.
And to the puke who took my seat; just b/c you signed in as aPASSWRITER did not give you the right to swipe a JS. I remember yourface, and hopeI have the opportunity soon to pay you back, you littlejerk.
