this is the question I was probably asked the most when ASA opened a base there.....

if your idea of a good time includes alcohol, strip clubs, or other places that fit in those catagories then you will probably feel isolated because as a whole the community there does not believe in partaking in those things.

if you like being around wholesome, honest people and enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery in the US then you will never get bored.

That was not my point. SLC is BEAUTIFUL.

It was really a question of acceptance within your community as a non-mormon.

Port O Call - Best bar in SLC. Clubs: Bricks, axis, and in park city go to "Harry O's", you won't be disappointed.

Food: Red Iguana is a must.

I just got assigned a trip there on the first of Mar. Thanks for the info.TC

OH and don't forget to wear your aluminum helmet. This will block all of the brain-washing radio waves that emit from the temple. did you know the temple is filled with computers and radio brainwashing equipment? They want your cash! Did you know scientology and mormonism were founded on the same fundamentals?
Be afraid. Be very afraid!

Know why you always take two mormons fishing?

If you take only one he will drink all your beer!
adios

Seriously. Would someone answer the question. I have several friends who have lived in SLC and this was their biggest complaint.

They were never invited out or had their children invovled with the neighborhood kids. Not through lack of trying, but through what the perceived as a lack of acceptance.

G100 thats the biggest lie that I have ever heard. All of my neighbors kids would hang out religion didn't matter.

yes I am a mormon.
Uh, joking about the temple. BUT not about the fishing!
too mormon to have a sense of humor?
Psysicx, you are living in denial. The gentiles are heathens and their children are the spawn of the devil.
adios

Good. I would hate to continue this myth because it exists.
