What an american icon, and on the 4th of July a fitting tribute to this great nation. Discovery will make us proud! Good luck to all seven on board!

Awesome on the NASA channel! never gets old to see that SRBs light off!

High Def reallly puts you there. Next time we will be there in person just to feel the vibration. Now hope to see both of them in the sky again using the heavens-above site.

I watched the launch today in total amazement! What a accomplishment! I felt like it was the very first time seeing a shuttle launch. Although, I dont think I took a breath until 6 + 30 minutes when the main fuel tank seperated. Way to go NASA!

I was in awe of the launch and the power and thrust coming form the SRB's. US Space program reigns supreme !!!

The Space Shuttle is cool and all that...but a total waste of taxpayers' dollars. A new, more efficient system should have been in place years ago.

I agree but I still find it amazing how they manage to orchestrate such a complex process and the sheer power of the shuttle. But, of course, when you start talking about a single piece of foam causing so much damage you know you've got to start looking for a new solution.

Awesome, just Awesome!!!!
