netjetwife said:Actually, I would think that the family will be just fine, financially, at least. Randy flew the BBJ for the past 5 yrs so was paid professional wages. For those who don't know, that group had a separate contract in the past. In addition, the NJ pilots' new CBA has benefits for families who face the death of the pilot. Randy was a SU supporter and was concerned for the pilots who were underpaid. He looked beyond his own situation and saw what was needed by the group as a whole. Randy will be remembered for that ...

My guess is he would rather be remembered as a husband, father (?), friend...not a "SU supporter concerned for pilots who were underpaid".

SafetyTheSeat said:The winter uniform is a joke here at NetJets... I have had Double Pneumonia twice in 7 years here at NetJets. The Uniforms are not designed for our line of work on the ramp-walking 100 yards to the FBO in sub-zero conditions, humping bags etc...
We need a light weight parker with a removeable liner-one that will double in the summer as rain gear... I was in the military for over 20 years and missed 9 days of duty, here at NetJets-same job- I have missed over 45 days in the winter due to the UNIFORMS..
God Bless him and his family...
batsky2000 said:we are not out that long in the cold, and I am hot as s$it after humping bags that all I want to do is put the heat down anyways and the cold up, all I wear is a sweater over my uniform and the blazer, and that is warm enough, even in the sub zero temps!! I dont even carry that stupid overcoat
Learn to suck it up, and for what its worth, I was also in the Military and I could not stand wearing that stupid overcoat!!

Dude this is a thread for the passing of a friend, a brother, and a family man. It's not about being a pu$$y it's about how we can prevent this in the future.
Sorry you fail to see that.
