I just got a call from GO Jet this morning....applied there a while ago and forgot abt it. I am currently active duty with the Marines. Need some info abt the company...what you guys think abt it....is it a good stepping stone for a career....checked aviationinterviews.com....didn't see any gouges on them...can anyone tell me what the interview is like...this is my first airline interview. Thanks....

Good company to work for. Basically anything owned by Trans States holdings is a good place to work. Good work rules, and good pay to fly a 70 seat RJ. Everyone in the terminal will be looking at you with a funny look because they will probably be jealous they you got a job there and they didn't. Good luck at the interview.

So you did a search on aviationinterviews.com but didn't run a search on this site for information? Why not?

There is a reason why there no interviews up on that website. The guy that runs the website has some friends that used to work for TSA. He agreed not to host any Go Jet interview gouges.

Stepping stone? Maybe, maybe not. Not a guarentee to hurt you but why take a chance. If you really want STL, look at TSA or better yet, CHQ. GoJet however should be last on your list... Very last.

Are you kidding me?!?! You would actually want to go to work for that scab outfit? Do some research, and you'll see why nobody in their right mind would go there. All of the other regionals are hiring like crazy... as such, there is no excuse for signing on with a bottom-feeder scab outfit like GoJet.

First interview and has an A320 type?

andy...didn't know they were such a bad outfit....then again I heard similar stories with the other regionals as well. I'll do some more research and see how they add up. Need to lock on a job soon....your opinions are definitely helpful...

Cutting through all the BS: avoid Goj*t at all costs. No respect in the industry. It will be a black stain on your resume that you will never be able to wash off - just check all of the past threads on the subject.

Avoid, avoid, avoid, avoid - most people would rather work for Mesa. It is that bad regardless of what their recruiters say.............

I agree with someone above: GoJets should be last on your list. Although they are not scabs (as also said by above poster), they are pretty low. Don't go there. Lots of others are hiring and are much better places to be.

Good Luck.

You shouldn't have much trouble finding a decent outfit. EVERYONE is hiring like mad. The best regionals seem to be Expressjet, Air Wisconsin, Horizon, SkyWest, and depending on your perspective, American Eagle (decent pay and QOL from what I understand, but long upgrade and reserve time). I would avoid Mesa, Colgan, Pinnacle, Great Lakes, Piedmont, and especially GoJet. Many folks would also tell you to avoid ASA as well. Personally, I would not go to any company that requires you to sign a training contract (usually there is a reason they must resort to a legally binding means of preventing attrition... in other words, good companies do not require contracts). I apologize for being so harsh in my above quote. I was unaware that you were without knowledge of the GoJet problem/situation. There are MANY threads on here about that whole deal, do a search, and you'll see why you should avoid them at all costs.

Gojet is the scum of the industry. Plus working without a contract is no fun. I would rather hang up my wings than fly for that company.
