Anyone who has done some glider towing what have you thought of it? Is it a good way to build time? I might have an opportunity to do some towing and was just looking for some comments of what others have thought of it.

Thanks

Personally, I've done my share of glider towing and I enjoyed it. However, I think there would be faster, more efficient ways to build time. If you get the chance to do it then why not? Just a bit of advice - don't be afraid to "kick 'em off" if they get too rambunctious back there. I had a friend who waited too long and got himself seriously killed.

Hot bump day, new student on back, prepare for a case of wiplash.

A little like towing banners, not a great deal of excitement, but flying is flying and best of all for folks like patmak, you don't have to spend much time close to the ground (where the aviation demons dwell).

Just don't agree to fly airplanes with cracked spars around all summer, and you'll be fine.

What kind of plane have you guys done the majority of your towing in? I know this place uses a C150 but wasn't sure if that is the norm.
