GLEX Question

Why is the top of the tail painted black on this GLEX? I'm guessing it is something to do with being able to see ice and snow, but can you see up there from the ground?

Neither of these GLEX's have that black paint on top, so it might be more individual to that airplane then anything...

not sure why its black, but you cant really see anything up there anyhow.

If its snowing / frost you just kinda assume there is some up there and deice it.
