GLA into ONT?

I was DHing by ground from LAX to ONT last week on limoworld and the driver was asking me about Lakes. He said the company just signed a contract w/ Lakes for ground transportation in ONT and was wondering about the company. Any Lakers hear a rumor about ONT yet?

I think they got an EAS contract for PRC. Seems like a very strange and very non-essential (or even useful) route to me... our tax dollars at work I guess

Well if they are going to make ONT a base I would love to work there seeing as though I live in LA. I wouldnt have to pay for rent or much gas like now. Do you think they will make ONT a base?

Yea it's on their website. With all the B1900 operators gone Lakes is taking over. I wonder why ONT though, all the Merced, Visalia pax who want to head out East will have to go through ONT, not sure if that's smart, LAX would have had had better varieties. Anyone from Lakes know why ONT?
