I heard that GIA purchased Air Midwest along with 22 B1900D's. They are hiring around 65 crews. Sounds like a great opportunity for 121 PIC time.

Still only a rumor about Air midwest, but with the attrition rate here, there are going to be plenty of jobs available.

You can be a FO for 34k.

34K for a Beech FO. Not too shabby. What do they make on the Bro? I might have to polish off my resume again.

Hey dog, do you think I could get on with gulfstream as a captain?? 2600tt with an atp.

If you want some PIC time quick, I can hook you up! However, you run the risk of being labeled a PFT-Scab-Scumbag for the rest of your life with no hope of ever getting a job at a respectable employer. Also, I believe you're over-qualified

2600 hours is overqualified for a 1900 CA position? If so, then that is really sad...and scary!

GIA needs pilots. The time is coming for street hire FO's. If it doesn't come soon, the company will collapse on itself. As of recently, we have 10 fo's for 7 emb120's. Most of us Captains have been sharing the cockpit with another Captain.

Keep your eyes and ears open for this to happen within the next year. For right now, we are hiring street Captains on a regular basis to support the GIA flying and soon to perform Air Midwest flying at the respective bases.

If you do become a street hire at GIA, you had better join the union. The management is volatile and hostile.
