You can expect to sweat alot in the Florida sun this summer without much for airconditioning. As for the FO thing your not going to be able to go to any airline anymore where your FO's certificates have ink that is dry.

Thanks Dointime, Coalpha, and Truamahawk. Youve been extremely helpful.
Now, anyone who just does not want to hear themselves try to be funny, have any serious input? Im looking for training info, schedule examples, etc.
Thanks in advance to those who can formulate an appropiate response...shut the F up to the rest.

you ll probably be on reserve for a while and fly your ass off with minimum days off.
and yes it will be very hot until you can start the right engine and hope that the AC is working.
Otherwise you will become a better pilot at handflying, and you will love to fly to those beautifull islands they fly into.

so i guess it can be a smart choice if you like florida and that kind of flying an dif the upgrade time where you are at now is planned to be very long.

Ive never noticed her rediculously large mouth before! HA I guess because I am always looking at other rediculously large attributes of hers...Or listening to her rediculously large propensity to accent Italian words while speaking English...frickin annoying!

I only noticed the mouth after it was pointed out to me. I, too, was more focused on the 2 large attributes about 9 inches south of her mouth.

And yes, the accented Italian like a Hispanic news reporter accents Spanish words is annoying as hell...but not so bad after you discover the mute button.

Despite these faults, I think I may be in love with her and TiVo her everyday.

I have a friend who was at ACA/Indy. He went to GIA and actually spoke very highly about the company. He said that they treated him well and he was almost always timed out by the end of the month. I am not sure on this one at GIA but on the Beech at Air Middy they can still fly 120 a month. If your current employment is unsatisfactory it wont hurt you to apply and see what they say. They only hire off the street for captains. He also said flying with the new guys only made him nervous after the first few and then it was good times because they all had a very good attitude.

My wife loves her show....and now so do I.

You'll never last with such a short fuse. If you can't laugh, please stay away from the airlines...life is tough enough flying with people who have no personality. BTW...I feel bad for your FOs already.

You are partly right...I didn't last. (It was not my fuse though...I am actually very tolerant...had to be flying with CA's like yourself) I didnt last because, like you said, life is too short and looking where Id be 20 years from now if I was "lucky" and stayed in the airline industry v. having a life...well, its not that difficult a decision. (Sure, I miss the flying but is airline flying really flying or is it pushing buttons? I get more (and better) flying out of the King Air and SE flying I do now.
And as a matter of fact, I laughed at you guys all the time so that shows I have a sence of humor!
One more thing...all I did was ask a question. I dont remember saying I was going back to the miserable lifestyle the airlines have to offer.
Good luck to you...I hope you loose that bitterness and heed your own advice...life is too short.

IF you want to fly a B1900 by single pilot, Ameriflight is hiring. They probably pay more and you get weekends off.

There are just some areas of town you don't go into at night...

And there are just some things you don't post on flightinfo and expect good responses....
