Can anyone direct me to a list of schools that are approved by the VA to use my GI Bill for flight training? Is ALLATP approved for GI BIll use? Thanks.

-Brett.

From my experience - generally, Part 141 schools will be approved by VA.

Part 61 schools/individual instructors can get approval but must jump through VA hoops to do so.

ALLATPs is most likely approved given that it started out by providing ATP training to military pilots

I will stand corrected though

ALL ATPs does not qualify for VA benefits.

Kind of an odd thing, but not all schools that are "approved" for VA bennies can get you reimbursed for all of the ratings that you may want.

I found that some schools were approved for commercial and instrument, but not for CFI, CFII, multi, and ATP. Others were a combination of the above. Only a very few were authorized for all ratings.

So if you are interested in going all the way with a professional pilot program, be sure and ask if the ratings you desire are approved.

This was 12 years ago, things may have changed.
