I was just wondering if any U.S. based airlines have cabin crew bases in Germany. I know that United did (or still does) and haven't heard about any other carrier. I also wanted to know if there's a certain way to apply for a foreign base. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

United does have a base in Frankfurt but when they hire, you get assigned to your base (or bid amongst the other new hires for whatever bases are open). FRA has been closed for years so I do not forsee that base opening anytime soon.

thanks flyunited. Another question I have is that if one was to get based in Frankfurt would you be limited to only flying routes from Germany to the US and back?

Or you could work for Omni..... They would love saving the money on hotel cost by keeping a flight attendant there and on RSV 24/7 365 days a year!!! Seemingly they keep flight attendants there on average 10 days of your 22 days of RSV!
