I busted my arse to get an interview when they had a recent opening. I also talked to one of their pilots this week when I was in IAD...
QOL is great. No weekends, no holidays, and very few RON's. I assume the pay is at least IA, if not better (at least on the G200). Anyone hired before 01/01/07 is grandfathered into the GD pension plan. Anyone hired after is eligible to be enrolled in their 401K plan, which sounds much better than most plans.
They recently moved a G200 from BED to their new facility in IAD at Dulles Jet Center. The facility is supposed to be very nice and state of the art. Only one of 3 (?) pilots came with. They had two openings, one for a chief pilot (I believe they hire a "CP" for every a/c), and one for a "Flight Captain". Unfortunately for me, they hired both. I understand the "Flight Captain" is a young local guy who flew Beechjets for some crappy 135 operator. I've heard he's a good guy, so at least it didn't go to a dooshbag (misspelling intentional).
If I hear of any more openings, I'll let you know (right after I get hired). There's supposed to be one of those winking smiley faces after that comment, but I can't get it to post.
