Just what the title says..

I know you guys are trying to pick up some jumpseat agreements, you got some guys who are jumpseating right now that are not doing you any favors..

What difference does it make? Just tell them "denied" and be done with it.

Yeh, that's whats happening from now on.

It's just funny to me, a company with no formal agreements is clammoring to get them, and had their guys jumpseating like they do..

Good for a laugh..

Guys don't even introduce themselves.. they just hopp on the plane and ask for a headset.. ehh.. get a clue buddy..

And what else would you expect from a bunch of wet-behind-the-ears d-bag wonderboys and/or industry-experienced bunch of backstabbing b!tches??? Just deny them and be on your way.

Tram, the idea of your thread sounds like a kick in the pants, but do you have any stories to go along with your jab on the blojet jumpers? I mean come on, you leave one itchin' for more here.:pimp:

Eh, basically a jumper got on one of our airplanes..

He said he was "riding on a pass" when he was actually just jumpseating.. He never introduced himself to the crew, had a pretty smug attitude and about the only words he said to the crew were in reference to him "getting a headset.." I just heard some talk about it in the crew room..

I mean, maybe the guy was new and had no idea how to jumpseat, but from what I've heard, he's like this all the time.. I dunno if he'll be getting anymore rides out of where he's from...

Just seems to me, a company with ZERO formal JS agreements, would want to be sure to be on proper jumpseater behavior should they be allowed to go..

I suppose it is a delicate situation for those folks, but a little common sense and congeniality can go a long way.

Yeh, that's all I'm getting at..

Is it possible that he was simply misunderstood? Instead of "Give me a headset" he might have been saying "Give Hulas head? You bet!"

I had a geauxjets guy ask me for a ride the other day. He tried to bribe me by saying he'd bend over if I let him ride. I told him he's usually the one bending over the rest of the industry and I denied him a ride.

If you're going to ask for a ride, please show some respect and courtesy. Don't act like it's your God given right.

serious question...

are people ACTUALLY letting GJ pilots jumpseat???

why? honestly, why?

I was jumpseating yesterday 4/21 from PHX-STL. I walk up to the gate to check in and there is a guy standing to the side in street clothes and I hear the gate agent say "you didn't list" the guy mumbles something to her and she says "well I cant find you guys on the list and I have to build a record for you, so stand to the side and I'll get back to you" Well as the agent is checking me in I look down on the podium and what do you know, the guys id says "Geaux Jets" I just look at him and shake my head in disgust. I board the airplane and don't see him get on. I ask the captain when we get to STL if he had a Geaux Jet guy onboard and he says "yes". So I guess he managed to slime his way onboard.

 Anything's possible, what with all the noise. I swear I hear FA's ask to give me head all the time. I've generally mis-heard them though, damn the luck.

ummmm....

SkyWest has a agreement with this airline- they have been on our list for a while now.

ohh, and they are allowed up front, cause they are a UAX carrier.

Yeh, I've been out of IOE for eh, like 2 months I guess..

Turns out the guy was on a pass.. it was some rigamore I heard in the crew room.. So I guess the guy was legit.. Nothing more to see here.. :)

Tram, whatcha dad think of Geauxjets?

Eh, you know.. I haven't asked him.. I know what he'd say.. and it would be something to the effect of "If it has the word "scab" in any shape/form/etc tagged on with it.. I don't need to be anywhere near it.. ;)

I mean.. it sure would suck to get to say.. Southwest, FedEx, UPS, Continental or any of the like and be at an interview and hear "Ohhh.. you worked for GJ?? Ahh, well.. I was at TSA, sorry.. better luck next time..."

So, as far as I'm concerned, I want nothing to do with it...

This is not just TSA's fight. These pukes apply downward pressure on all of our jobs.

That's also a good point.. I was just using an obvious example of how suck-balls it would be to be known as a GeauxGhetter.. :)

No matter who you work for, nobody should be letting dirtbag HoJets pilots ride on the jumpseat. If any of them try, grow a pair and tell the scumbag to take the bus.

Well, we already told them we didn't want a jumpseat agreement.. and well.. right now, I'm not a Capitano, just a lowly FO, so I don't get to make the "go, no go" decisions..

So the whole thing was made up by you from second hand information? How typical.

Funny, I've been yet to be denied a jumpseat.

Well, son of one biatch, I had no idea they had no agreements. I've given rides to them in the past to STL(always in the back). I don't want to make a political statement by just arbitarly denying the JS based on the carrier, but not having an agreement makes it easy. Consider myself educated.

Our pilots have had no problems getting other jobs.

We have almost 20 agreements and counting, including ASA. I'll double check and find out.
