I don't know if it is the same guy, but I bet it is. Gary use to work for AMF several years ago (when it was still Cal Air). He was involved in several management areas while he still flew helicopters for the LA County Fire Dept. I knew him only briefly as I was a neophite Lance driver in the mid-80s and did not see much of him after my first couple years there.

I do not know anything of his past as far as possible connections with Travel Air. Gary wasn't a shady character, just not very conversational or open. It's just his way. Of course, I really don't know him, but that was my impression of him then. People can change though.

Actually, I made an error. After posting the previous reply, I came back when I realized I was confusing two different individuals. The person I was thinking of is Larry Harris. So forget everything I said regarding Gary Hart. I don't know him.
