Does anyone have the Garmin GPSMAP 96C? I am considering purchasing one and would like to know if you think it is a good handheld GPS.

I have a similar question. I just peeked into Santa's closet and saw that he purchased a Garmin 295 (discontinued) unit for me off Ebay. Is this one any good? I called Garmin to verify and, of course, they said it is great, but the 296 is much better. Duh? Any comments????????
