Hello Anyone:

Since Pro-Line 4 avionics won't be upgradable for graphic weather, does anyone know if a Garmin 396 portable with the XM antenna will work OK in a Falcon 2000/EX cockpit? I have heard the windshields may produce some interference.

Thanks. Garmin couldn't really give me an answer.

Jim

Not sure about the Falcons, but we run one in a King Air 200 and have both antennas up on the main windshield. No problems with reception even when the windshield heat is on.

Good luck.

I work for manufacturer in question and would be happy to tell you that they do work well although some forms of windshield heat will cause intmt xm issues. They have been successfully deployed in everything from Lears to B-1's and I use regularly in the KC135 (w/ window heat on "norm")
