Looking for pros / cons of the G200 and Hawker 800xpc fleets at NetJets

Thanks

Both are great fleets from what I hear. The G200 has a wider cockpit (more comfy on longer flights) and it does a big mix of short and longer flights. The G200 also gets to Hawaii and even Europe every now and then. You will do a lot of transcon flights in the G200 because of its range but not as many as you would in the Citation X. The cabin in the G200 is also considerably wider than the 800XP-C cabin - it is a bigger airplane in general.

Here is the G200 cockpit:

Here is the G200 exterior:

The 800XP-C has the latest flight deck - Pro Line 21 system (more advanced than the G200 flight deck). I have heard that it doesn't offer the seating capacity of the regular 800XP so it will frequently fly business passengers vs. families. I guess the 800XP-C fleet is not as busy as other fleets so you might not fly as often - you get to relax more. At least that was the case when I inquired a few months back.

Here is the 800XP-C cockpit:

Here's the exterior of a Netjets Europe Hawker:

Both fleets are great from what I have heard. Not too sure about which fleet is busier and how that would impact your QOL if you go to Netjets.

You can see what types of trips the two aircraft types do by looking at the following link at flightaware.com:

http://flightaware.com/live/fleet/EJA

Scroll down (may have to click on "next 20" at bottom of page) until you see GALX (G200) and H25B for the Hawker 800XP (not sure which flight numbers represent the 800XP-C vs. the regular 800XP). Click on the flight numbers and you can track the flights and see where those aircraft have been over the last few days. Those aircraft are all airborne at that time. I just counted 10 Netjets G200s flying at one time.

800XP-C landing video...

Well, here is my offering. Look at the following 800XP-C landing video at Istanbul, Turkey:

The plane is actually an 850XP-C which is a newer version of the Hawker. It has a very nice flight deck - sort of an odd landing though. These airplanes are much more advanced and automated than most airliners out there (makes your job easier)...

I thought Netjets had also ordered the 900XP? How many of those are coming on board and what are the primary differences between the 800XP-C and the 900XP? Will 800XP-C pilots also fly the 900XP?

36 900XP's coming as of now, same fleet as the 800XP-C. The only differences are a high and hot engine and winglets.

Will the 900XP's be crewed by the 800XP-C pilots or staffed separately? I thought I read that there would be differences pay like the XL/XLS.

The 900's are flown by the 800XPC pilots. Differences pay is a thing of the past with the passage of the new agreement, even for the XL/XLS. I believe we are currently operating 3 900XP's.

Tough choice..

Long haul or short haul,
endless baggage or brief cases. (theres always an exception)
boots or TKS...

Can't go wrong with either one. I like the 800 but I'm a little biased. ;)

800xpc

Well, I fly the xpc at nja, and speaking in completely biased terms, the airplane is a great machine. It is built like a tank. It's an odd mix of old and new technology, but the Collins system is VERY nice indeed! The TKS is weird, but it does work. It's also a very stable flying airplane. On a rough approach, it handles it very gracefully, and it is an easy plane to land smoothly (now that I've said that watch me smack it on tomorrow!). I haven't flown on the G200, but I have snooped around a few in the hanger, and they are VERY nice as well. Large flight deck and huge cabin! HUGE baggage capacity as well (150 cu.ft. I believe). Hawker trips vary. Todays was ATL to Montrose, CO and then ferry to Little Rock for a maintenance issue. Have done TEB-JAC non-stop, HPN to College Station, TX, lots of Bermuda trips as well as Bahamas and some Carribbean (sp?). The Hawker's cabin is comfortable. We have 8 seat configurations with the couch and 6 seat configs without the couch and an extra closet in the back. The 900's, of which I believe we now have 4, are 8 seat configs with the couch on the capt's side of the airplane. The primary differences other than the physical characteristics already noted, are the checklists. Wording is different, and some procedures are different enough to be VERY annoying. Otherwise, it's exactly the same airplane, and xpc crews will be flying both the Collins 800 and the 900. Hope that helps some.

How about the baggage space? I know it's all stored in the cabin so do the pax plan on this? Coming from the X you get those that think we're in a G-V and pack like it.

Also, do you get much west coast flying?
