Hey guys and girls - have a question -

I work man days at Hurlburt often and my friends there tell me there is a new General Order #1 in place - NO alcohol ANYTIME you are TDY CONUS or OCONUS. Now, my AMC unit buddies have heard no such thing, but other friends have heard rumblings of this at other bases...none associated with AFSOC.

Don't want to start any frenzy but have any of you heard anything about some AF - wide GO#1??!??! Or is it just a trend of some a-hole Wing CCs?

Hmm...wonder if it is an AFSOC or just HRT deal? Bad deal...**CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**....that really sucks.....what next? 50mph speed limit???? Life clocks and you die at 25? :)

I think G1 is in place everywhere in the desert. It is evey where we deploy.

GO #1 is in place in Centcom. However, Al Udied and Masirah had the 3 beer deal - along with the HOA when I was there (although the nice Chaplains assistant that sold beer thought if we could die for our country we could drink more than 3 beers for it ;-) )
I heard that Al Udied is curbing the beer deal also - but again - this might be in the SOF compound.

There are other locations in the Middle East where you can drink with card (like at Al Udeid). Unless it changed recently, the Wing/CC can authorize downtown drinking at hotel bars, clubs, etc...

AMC Ravens are prohibited from drinking anytime they are on a mission, from start to finish, regardless of ground time, location, or duties.

Last time I was at Manas, they had beer 2 nights a week. The Died still has a 3-drink limit daily, but they've gotten rid of the big imports and gone to regular cans of US domestics.

I know ALLLL about the Raven policy - it came out while I was on a round the world trip with 3 of them.....and things got ugly when one of them got into trouble - then WE found out about the policy.

Yeah - this GO is for everyone at Hurlburt as far as I know.
