Does anyone remember the whole Piedmont/Potomac incident back in 2000/2001.? A judge ruled that it (Potomac) was an ALTER EGO carrier and shut them down.

Is the whole GJ/TSA fiasco the same animal?

Despite being somewhat indirectly affected by the Piedmont/Potomac affair as an Allegheny employee at that time, I do not remember the details of that decision.

However I am curious, so I'll give this a bump...

ALPA didn't do crap!!!! Potomatic was shut down due to the fact that the United/US Airways Merger wasn't approved by the Government!!! So US Airways didn't want to spend the extra money on having Piedmont babysit Potomatic anymore!! So that operation was shut down.
The whole Glue Jets thing is a different animal!!!

Seems like Alpa isn't doing squat about G/J either. The fact that an airline is set up under the roof, so to speek, of another would seem to be alter ego. I was at PDT when the word came down that we were getting all those nice EFIS 200's back, no thanks to alpa, but because of a judge that had common sense.

We did get a couple of descent F/A's out of the deal too.
