"Worldwide" in a G-IV? LOL. Try a GLEX, G-V, G5000, F900, or better. LOL.

"500 hours heavy or jet flight time." What does this mean? Heavy piston or jet time? Again, LOL.

They have bigger but you start in the little "G4". I have been to G school with some of them and it is first class, big time fortune 100, well run operation and with the attitudes exibited here so often, best of luck to you.

I just moved back to the bay and have been searching for jobs like these! Thanks for the post, commuting is a drag. Any other suggestions for flight jobs in the bay area?

Are you suggesting the G4 is not a capable worldwide aircraft? You'd be hard pressed to name me another corporate aircraft that has made more crossings (you pick the Ocean) than a G4. That aircraft has a strong reputation and proven track record of doing what it was designed to do; safely and efficiently carry passengers internationally in comfort. They're bullet proof. I suspect your post was just flamebait.

What's so funny about a G-4 being a worldwide acft?

Chevron/G4

I just took our G4 around the world, 7 legs, longest was 8:43, 45.5 hours flight time, had a couple light bulbs burn out in the cockpit, but with 4 in each switch, like everything else in a G4, redundency and dependability make it perfect for circling the globe. sure a G550 would do it better and would have saved 2 stops, putting on fresh crews at those stops only increases safety. Then you have to look at which would you rather take for a 45 minute flight to cramped space at TEB, a 550 or a " narrow" G4, 13 feet or so more wing span means more exposure for me and my plane. what I am getting at is there are reasons for a G4 and reasons for a 550 or Global, don't judge a company by that. I think they could buy a 777 if they wanted!

And don't pay any attention to TC, he woke up cranky this morning, the G-IV aisle is 6'2" high .
GV

I can stand up just fine. It's the leg room that gets me on those 2+ hour flights. ;)

The 450 will fix that problem, though. Two and a half months to go. :D TC
