Just curious what type of payload a G-II can carry, and what its time till flame-out would be from Colombia to Cancun.

Mexican news claims 3.7 tons found at crash site. No fire at crash site. PILOT limped away and was caught later. YGBFSM!

new york post had an article today about this, said a man by the name of Clyde O'conner was the new proud owner of that bird. From what I hear he isn't the most legit guy in south florida.

The aircraft involved was a GIISP depending on which ASC's it had it most likely had an MTOW of 62,000 lbs, a BOW of around 38,000lbs max zero fuel wt. of 42,000lbs, max fuel 23,500lbs, which would give you around 7.3 hours till flame out.

3.7 tons (us?) equates to 7,400 lbs of payload which means they deffinitely exceeded the ZFW limitation, but I'm sure that was the least of their concerns.

If they respected the MTOW (doubtfull) they could have carried 16600 lbs of fuel, good for about 3.5 hours till flame out.

interesting. also interesting is the fact the ole bird carried that much weight !

That would be a very accurate statement.

Word on the street is that they had been intercepted and decided to circle untill they ran out of fuel. It doesn't seem to make much sense, but what do I know?

One word. Panic.

I know I would be pooping myself. Though I doubt that I would have put that much coke on board. Hehe...

Refreakin Tarded

Mexican authorities arrested the plane's pilot, identified as Edik Munoz Sanchez

Ummmm.... that's an unfortunate name.

The plane is registered with Donna Blue Aircraft Inc., a Coconut Creek, Fla.-based company

D.B.A. Inc.? One of the most legit companies I know of. Everybody knows D.B.A. Inc.
