You might try posting this on the Frac page to get the opinions from the NetJets guys. I believe they resolved their issues with the airplane and are flying them.
There are a bunch of guys on this forum who have experience on type. Just wait a while and you'll get a number of responses. Also, use the search function and look for G200 topics - you'll likely find the answers you are looking for.
Talked to some LM guys a few days ago. They said the GS is getting the first 50 or so back bc of quality control issues. If you get one, they said to get one #50 or higher. They said it was a decent airplane. Good speed and range.
Very Comfy cabin for mid-size aircraft.
Ok room in cockpit.
Decent range (longest I had it up was 6.5 hrs) NY-LFPB
Not really a competent Intl airplane, but great Domestic - coast to coast any day.
Easy to fly
AWFUL for dispatch relaibility. I $hit you not - maybe 75% - maybe.
Its been a little while since I was in one, but support was near ZERO. I cant say its all Gulfstreams fault, they just should have NEVER bought the line. I have seen more than 25 of them in service center at one time.
I think Gulfstream is justifying it by picking up broken down clients in GV's and then convincing them to trade them in on the V or a IV - as MANY have.
If your boss wants a similar cabin have him look at a DA2000 or even a used GIV. Be WAY better off. Im sure there are serious bargains out there on G200's, but there is a reason there are many 1-2 year old aircraft on the market - and it aint "the economy"...
just an opinion, take it for what you want!
feel free to PM with any specific questions.
Can only say that I saw one on the ramp at KLAS with a golf cart stuck in the wing. Some one had parked the cart in front of the wing after the crew had preflighted and were locked inside for taxi. I think General Dynamics Vegas was going to apply for the STC...
