I think your location plays into it, hangared or not, etc. I remember one FX-3 owner getting very high quotes for Alaska homebase.

Just had my 2nd EAB visit on my FX3 so I am around 8 weeks out to final delivery. I just got an insurance quote from Bob Haag at Ladd Gardner and wanted to share:

I am 47 yrs old, ATP, 1,600 TT, 300 tailwheel, most of which is Carbon Cub SS, but I am checked out on FX3, UL and X-Cub at Tac Aero.

For a FX3 w/ $500k Hull - USAIG quoted:
$1mm / $100k = $7,710
$1mm / $200k = $8,079
$1mm Smooth = $8,463

No checkout required given my experience.

I am partying 12K for $400K hull but at the time I had just 12 hours dual and I am 72 yrs young.
I would suggest speaking To Tom Haug at wings Insurance in Minneaoolis

@Meconiates probably as expected for your hull value but you may want to reconsider your hull value, your call. I also suggest dropping it from 500 to 499 and see if that changes your quote, for me I did 399 vs 400. I'm not sure how it's tiered, worth asking for quotes.

My first year was in the 7's, now it's down to 5's.
