Airtran - 1000 pilots (Plan to hire 200/year for next 4 years)
Alaska - ? pilots/(Hiring)
Aloha - 350 pilots/21 on furlough
American - ? pilots/2800+ furloughed (still laying off pilots)
America West - ? pilots/(Hiring)
Astar - 503 pilots/(Hiring 40 this year)
ATA - About 1100 pilots and FEs/137 on furlough
Continental - 4450 pilots/All furloughees that want to be back will be back by April; supposedly 113 XJT pilots with job offers to start class in April and May - off the street hiring after that.
Delta - 7661 pilots/695 on furlough (125 summer recalls)
Current TA indicates all recalled by summer 2008
FedEx - 4324 pilots/(Hiring)
Hawaiian - 381 pilots/98 on furlough
Independence - 1524 pilots/742 total furloughed after May
Midwest - 380 pilots/76 on furlough (40 recalls this year)
Northwest - 5900 pilots/510 on furlough (suspended recalls)
Southwest - ? pilots/(Hiring suspended)
United - 9264 pilots/2133 furloughs (recalling 150 this year)
UPS - ? pilots/(Hiring)
USAir - 5279 pilots/1879 on furlough

Hey trash8mofo, are you sure the total is 350 pilots? I think it went down by a couple.
 
Thanks for the post, interesting numbers. Regarding SWA, did they suspend interviewing or hiring? I believe they are still running classes?

It looks like CAL will start to hire off the street soon, I wonder if any concessions will change the hiring forecast there?
