So with this economic downturn, does anybody have the furlough numbers of the regional airlines? Just curious how many people are out of a job.

Comair - 206 as of today and 298 as of January 19, 2009. Rumor of 100+ to follow in Feb/Mar 2009.

Sure......then some other bloat can be UNVOLUNTARILY junior manned! That's great logic!

I forgot Comair HAS to check OUT on the computers, not just finish the flight and get on the bus..... Yea that is some big time garbage going on there though... I have friends both furloughed and at great risk of it there ....

The numbers will make ya sick.

UAL shows a forecast of >900 this year put on the street. Ouch!! The list of companies has many and growning. Hopefully FedEx will be able to prevent furloughing in the coming months. Also, look at the guys over the the DHL family; a total kick in the gut for them. The currect state of the industry is sad.

Wichita, KS will see over 1,700 on the street between Boeing, Cessna and Raytheon.
