Very funny. Really. I mean that was **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**ing hilarious. I bet I laughed more watching that than any other aircraft accident I've seen. They're all really funny. But that one, especially. Thanks.

The individual who was in that helicopter did some very unwise things. However, you've probably never watched a friend die in an aircraft accident, or put out a burning wreck following one. I have. It's been an unfortunately not-uncommon act during my career. I don't see a **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** thing funny about an aircraft accident.

But perhaps that's just me.

Rather than watching that event waiting for the inevitable with glee, seeing the humor in the ensuing crash, perhaps you'd sit in someone else's shoes and hold your heart in hour hand and pray that you don't have to see someone else die in an airplane...again.

One day when you have a little more experience, you may just do that.

Avbug,

I respect your opinion, but EASY THERE buddy. No one in the video got hurt, maybe someone learned something, no harm no foul.

We all read NTSB reports...not for the gore or any rubbernecker reasons, but for education.

Chunk

The poor glider (the one that camera man hides behind). Anyone with enough time, should be able to dig up the NTSB report (I have seen it before).

I dug up the report about 3 months ago when I first saw the video. The guy involved in the incident is a fixed wing pilot with 500 hours who thought he didn't need any training because he had 500 hours. He took delivery of the helicopter the day of the incident and flew it, disreguarding the advice of his instructor.

He was very luck to walk away from that if you ask me, and he deserves to have his ticket pulled.

saabcaptain,

How dare you! Don't you know you're not allowed to have your own opinions about anything? You must always check with avbug first to see what your sentiments are. He has been through everything, so we need not. Just send him a PM next time. He'll be happy to tell you what you think.

Why his minions continue to kiss his a$$ and build his arrogance is beyond me.

Very interesting, mate. So what you're really saying is that everyone is allowed to have an opinion but me? Somehow it's okay for anyone else to post, but if I post an opinion, albeit a strong one, then that's a terrible thing?

Choke on your own double standard.

It's not your opinions that are bothersome, it's the righteousness with which you put them forth. For the purpose of self-criticism, I will say I'm ashamed that it bothered me enough to devote two posts to it.

hey avbug... i HAVE lost friends and i HAVE seen a fatal accident. as I said in the HEADER of my post the guy in this helicopter crash wasn't even hurt and lives... and considering he attempts to fly a helicopter with ZERO... ZERO experience he is **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** lucky and his video is worth a look for the humor factor we can now enjoy due to his good fortune.

No, it's not funny to watch an aircraft crash. I've never seen an accident, and hope I never do. I can assure you it would be very frightening to watch in person. If you crash and live, it would not be entertaining to you, now would it....

i give up... although in closing i will say it is questionable this was even an "accident" in the true definition of the word.

Here's the "true definition". From the looks of the heap lying on the ground at the end of the video, I'm pretty sure it qualifies.

TITLE 49--TRANSPORTATION
Sec. 830.2 Definitions.

Aircraft accident means an occurrence associated with the operation of an aircraft which takes place between the time any person boards the aircraft with the intention of flight and all such persons have disembarked, and in which any person suffers death or serious injury, or in which the aircraft receives substantial damage.

Substantial damage means damage or failure which adversely affects the structural strength, performance, or flight characteristics of the aircraft, and which would normally require major repair or replacement of the affected component.

AVBUG---Dude - you are awesome- you first say that you laughed your ass off after watching the video - then you reprimand everyone for thinking its funny - now thats funny - you could go out on a double date all by yourself-- P-R-O-Z-A-C could spell relief for you-MAX

Wow, lighten up guys,If you cant laugh at that, something is wrong. I would not feel the same if there were fatalities, but if you ever took your fist helo lesson, you could relate.
