here is a link to the plate for the GPS 16 approach in to PSM in NH, read the names of the fixes and you might recognize the famous saying...:D Linky

The tweety bird approach. I have heard about that one in the past. Never seen the plate in person.

i didn't even see that one...i guess we can say that this is the approach from HEL then...lol

I've heard of naming fixes, etc. after the local atmosphere or local sayings, but that one is pretty good. Nice that the FAA can put a smile on our faces at least once in a while! :-)

The satan IAF is also a IAF for another approach (though I don't know if it is to the same airport or another one in the vicinity)

Either way....glad to see the FAA has employed a person whose brain is clogged with malted hops and bong resin.

ROFLMAO:D

for laughs,,,check out the ils 4l and ils 4r at ewr final approach fixes...definitely a "jersey" approach!

Or check out the ILS 28 at CMH (not sure if it is the left or the right).

ACA crashed a Jetstream 41 there a long time ago. Two green pilots (<100 hrs in type), in a snowstorm, got slow and crashed on approach.

The fix names?

GOTSL = got slow
UNOIT = You know it
GRENS = (missed approach fix) GREENS

If we can't laugh at the dead who can we laugh at?

Uh, maybe we can avoid laughing about fatal mistakes, and just learn from them. That's just me.

I like the fix over the bridge at Chappaquiddick:

DRUNK

Wonder how ol' Teddy let that slide?
