Most regionals are rejecting the idea due to cost constraints of adding a tailhook to all aircraft Expect a new commuter to be started to service Freedom Ship. Northrop-Grumman is beefing up new production lines on a regional version of the venerable C.O.D.

Did a quick search, seems among other things they where talking about this very ship way back in summer 1998-99. By 2003 ship was supposted to be sailing by now..
