Totally unconfirmed info...

I've heard if you're typed with some experience they'll start you between 50K and 70K.

Anyone have better info?

TF

I have a friend who works at FSI and he had less than 1000hrs when he started. He has now moved up to full time and he started at 60K, once he was full time.

Salary starts at $60k for the smallest aircraft. There's also a new incentive program based on hours of instruction given that would pay roughly an extra $10-20k for 700-1000 hours of instruction given (ground and sim). Bennies are good too.

I have a friend that flys the King Air 200 at the FSI in Dothan, Al. He started at 60k in the sim and C182 (Teaching Army Initial Fixed Wing Qual). After you move up to the King Air 200 you go to 63k and have annual pay increases.

I have another friend teaching the King Air 350 in Wichita. He is a platform instructor and started at 60k.

Hope this helps.

I've been sending my resume regularly to LGB for a year both by email and us mail; stopped by and dropped one off in person and met the Director of Training.

Haven't heard a thing yet.
