Could this mean that they are looking to start their own regional feeder service like how American has Eagle?

Would be nice for them to maybe buy Great Lakes or start their own feeder so they can run service to all the Colorado towns and towns in other border states? I know they are happy with Horizon and in with them for another 8-10 years so I doubt they would start anything with E-jets or anything like that but starting up something with Q400s or using Lake's B1900s might be a good bet?

I think I may be hoping for this to happen rather than it actually being possible but I would love to work for them again.

Anyone else heard anything about this at all?
 
I read press releases elsewhere that mentioned their new holding company will be a Delaware corporation. That's a fairly common practice for the tax advantages, so I think that's the most likely reason.

On the other hand, I just hope it's not a first step toward creating an alter-ego airline like the current GJ/TSA debacle. However, that's just outlandish speculation at this point (I hope).
 
I pulled this off the employee website:

We believe the holding company structure could facilitate future expansion of our business by providing a more flexible structure for acquiring other businesses or entering into joint ventures while continuing to keep the operations and risks of our core airline business separate.

This is what makes me wonder about them creating their own "in house regional".

Two things:

  • Anything to do with Great Lakes is bad
  • Holdings companies are intended to protect the shareholders best interests not the employees; no matter what kind of rhetoric they give you
