Gary is no longer the recruiter. Matt Harper is the person to send resumes to now, I believe but not 100% sure.

Planemasters is in TBR and GSP, Northstar is in MYR. Neither are hiring for these bases now but you never know when someone will find a better job.
There are quite a few cargo operators out of CAE in support of fed reserve, overnight delivery co., and labs. You might want to try there too if thats nearby.

At Flight Express the Director of Operations is handling the resumes. They are currently looking for 10 pilots to come in for a sim ride the beginning of January.

If hired on at Flt express, what is the likelyhood of being able to be based on the 210 out of ATL? What are the junior 210 bases?

There is no telling what bases will be available until the end of ground school. When I went through class 2 weeks ago, there was an ATL and TPA positions open, ut bye the end of the week when we got to pick, neither were available, so it is total luck of the draw on that day.

The interview process is very straightforward; sim ride in a A36. It uses 'digital steamguages' It is easy to read, but INCREDIBLY sensitive!! (Makes a Frasca seem stable). No surprises on the ride, just basic instrument skills..then a talk with the Director of Ops. Mostly personality stuff, very laid back.

I have been very happy with FE so far, but would also love to get back down to the south sometime soon

Flight Express is defintely hiring

Yes, Flight Express is definately hiring.
If you currently possess 135 minimums, and are looking to do alot of flying...you should definately forward your resume to the following person:

Ernst Anderson
Director of Operations

Since things are starting to get busy with the regionals...baron upgrade time should start to come down. In the last 30 days alone, FE has lost more than a dozen pilots to the regionals.

The opportunity is there if you are hungry enough. Don't expect a Florida base. Most will go to CPS, LUK, MKC, ATL first. Then again, at our present rate of attrition...who knows?

The check flying business should be available until late next year. Check-21 legislation was signed into law last October. All banks in this country must comply by October 24, 2004. Don't let anyone kid you. Even the execs at Enron put on a happy face until the day the company imploded. (more about that some other time)
Between now and then you can get gobs of time under your belt.

Good luck!

A dozen? are you sure Dan? Thats cool if it's true. I know of only 4 but thats just in my part of the country, too. I know I'm one of 'em so yeeeeehhaaaaaa!!!! It's been a hell of a ride but it's time to move on. Fly safe.

Jeff

I've just received a call from Flight Express. I'm just wondering how the interview and the sim ride are. I already checked aviation interiew.com. It didn't have too much detail. thanks ahead of time
