Here's a thread from the Mesa forum. JO is such a d#$k! I hate to say things like that but what a worthless CEO. He took his play book right from President Clinton. You can't trust a word he says. Pathetic. He enjoys being an jerk. Mesa pilots don't strike. It will only shut down your airline and put you on the street. Get what you can and keep flying. I just wish the board of directors had enough intelligence to know that they could oust JO, put a better person in place and still make a profit.

> Still have not heard the verdict Jo, you got scope relief now are you going to do like you told all of us in your luncheons and do away with freedom ......are you a man of your word ......or do you spout words without conviction and integrity....(what ever makes people happy at the time). Alot of people want to here this one i assure you.
>
From JO:
"That is not at all what I said. It was formed as a resultof the scope issue. There was no promise to do anything after the company was certificated and up and running.
"
In another post they talk about Mesa lines being taken from the 200 RJ's to let Freedom 700's fly them.

Here's JO's response to that:
"Wrong. Those were frredom lines being covered by extra 200s. Two aircraft are now being returned off short term lease. Do not be surprised - there are bunch mre aircraft that will be returned over the next 6 months to make way for 700 and 900 deliveries. Without a new deal with USairways those aircraft will exit the fleet. Please do not claim later that this is a surprise. The
200 fleet will shrink significantly."

==========================
It is very sad when the whipsawing just continues and the pissing contest is essentially an internal one rather than the typical regional vs mainline agruments.

So for all the losers that want to fly for Freedom looks like you will grow.

Don't fly Freedom or fly for Freedom!

I know it's useless to discuss politics or religion but I can't resist. Clinton may have been on the shady side but I wouldn't think for a minute that good old W has anything but contempt for pilots and organized labor in general. I would bet a lot of money that Bush agrees with Mccain that pilots are overpaid and underworked. I guess I can't blame them as I am on track to make a nosebleed, annual salary of $28k and average about 11 days off a month. If I don't get furloughed this year in 2003 I might even break 30K and average 12 days/month. Also, don't forget that W's "playbook" supports cabotage. If that ever comes about you might as well right off the industry for we would all be working for migrant wages. By the way, isn't Lorenzo friends with the Bush clan?

Wow Azpilot, even though I never saw you singing the praises of Bush, you certainly pushed someone's political hotbutton with your offhand comment regarding Clinton's well-documented aversion for the truth.

Cat Yaak,
I give you that. I just cringe when I hear people praising a president who's most likely dumber than the average citizen. I also wanted to bring to light our current president's well documented aversion to organized labor (aka..pilots).

You have to admit it's pretty funny to hear pilots complain about Clinton's extramarital bj's, I mean, who are we kidding? Sexual transgressions are far from the exception in the piloting profession, don't you think?

Read my lips.... :)

My post said nothing about Bush. The focus was on what jerk JO is. With that said I do agree that Bush is most likely not a friend to pilots. Although I pray that Bush is! Does that statement cover politics and religion?

Good luck to all the Mesa folks during negotiations.
