France is a beautiful country, which is nice, because when it's all said and done, I think we will end up occupying it. Pieces of **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**!

In the sixties and seventies, I used to wonder how the idea of collaboration or the Vichy government happened during the Nazi occupation.

These days, it it far more clear that the French have an aspect of their national personality that favors government oversight and socialism, not to mention situational ethics.

Traitors, no. Short-sighted, toady, cowards that love to suck up to totalitarian regimes (you figure they would have learned from Germany not to trust despot govts, oh well...), yes.

Don't kill them, someone needs to make wine, cheese and perfume for us.

Just do something to make them feel important now and then so the sting of being a third rate world power is soothed.
