Have any former waterskiers that bailed last summer or prior had any luck at claiming or rolling over Trans States supposed 401K into your new employers account?? When I left good ol' Hulas and Company the plan was with MetLife, but now it seems it has changed hands a few times, and who knows where my money is anymore. And to no surprise, I have heard nothing from Trans States about my options for my account, and I have just learned that they "forced me out" of my plan, and collected a reasonable amount in fees....all without my authorization and all unbeknowenced to me. Just wondering what other people have done and if you all have had any luck at getting what you put into your 401K back out. I'm sure that flying hindu is somehow collecting all this money and just laughing about it all the way home...

This is not a problem with TSA alone. A new thing is for companies to raid your 401K and put the money back their own coffers. Hence, the recommendation is to move the money out of that particular account and into another that the company had not put money into. It's just like when they make a mistake and go back into your account and take it out, the same thing happens with a 401K even if there was no mistake made.

Remember, don't blame Ramos.... Deport Hulas.

How much money did you reall have put in there? If it was alot out of your own pocket you need to get that ******************** figured out real quick even if it takes a lawyer. If it is the money Uncle H. put in there, it was only 1% anyway. 1% of nothing is still nothing. When they furloughed everybody last year, there were some of us that were there for over 6 months, did we get any of the 600 dollar(was it 6 or 3, cant remember) resignation bonus for not calling in sick for the 6 months prior, nope. I called the union and asked some friends in mgt. about it and they all said we should get it. Never saw it. Dont really care. Is it more of a headache to get it back than to write it off?

Unrelated question for the Waterskiers:

Who was Frank and what was he right about?

Franks was right. Trans States and Airlines should never be used in the same sentence. How's reserve going over there now adays, oh yea its non existant because there isnt enough pilots. HAHAHAHAHAHA Thanks for furloughing me last year uncle H. Ah what a difference a year makes.

TSA ground instructor that would enlighten the newhires by telling them, "You're here to fly a piece of shat airplane, for a piece of shat company. You boys just made the biggest mistake of your lives." Or so I've heard.

Frank was an old grouch who did INDOC and generally welcomed people into class by saying, "You've just made the biggest mistake of your life." and he meant it. He was also found of saying that the Jetstream was noting more than a pilot of junk flying in formation.

I recall the initial greeting well. "You guys really f*cked up by coming here. Here's the ops manual with the standards you'll need to fly to. If you can't meet the standards you'll be out of here." At least we didn't get the usual BS like "Welcome to the TSA aviation family" or some other crap that other airlines put out there. Frank was right.
