BTW. Your ALPA stuff doesn't kick in right away when it hits the fan. DPMA does. I can't remember the time frame but I thought it was a year for ALPA. After I got DPMA I got rid of the alpa insurance. Everone is different but it works for me.

I went out at 57 1/2 years. Got full pay as a 767 capt. for an entire year. More than likely you won`t need it but the chances are that if you need it, it will be toward the end of your career. Don`t miss the oportunity to sign up.

I am on a furlough bypass from NWA... is this something I'll be able to sign up for when I come back? I haven't been keeping up on all the transition stuff since I'm really not there... I got my delta letter and return date w/ my new delta emp. #... as for the dpma?

as someone posted earlier, you can opt out later, but if you decline it now you can't get in later. Take it, then think about it. Ask Delta pilots what they think.

You will find DPMA is well worth it.
