Do you know where I can find LOFTS for rent within driving distance of ATL airport? I know nothing about the area

Try craigslist. click on apts/housing for rent. Type in "loft" - I see @ 500 hits. Use Google maps to figure out roughly where they are. I'd recommend living north of I-20 or south of the airport. "Driving distance" can mean anything you want it to. I live in Decatur on the east side of town, which is about 20 minutes from the airport. I leave the house 2 hours before my flight to allow for traffic/van/security delays.

Or call a realtor, or cruise some realty's web site to get an idea of what's out there.

Lots of great neighborhoods in the ATL area, all depends on what you're after. Maybe you should sign a lease for a year to give you a chance to explore which areas really suit you. If you choose to live close enough to MARTA, you won't even have to drive to work... Good luck.

Thanks, you recomend anyone?

I can get you your own room 5 min north of the airport if you are interested. It is in a secure neighborhood, right across the street from a private school. If you are interested let me know and I will get you the owners number and get you moved in quickly. Right now there are only 2 of us in there and it is a 3 bedroom house.

Lots of stuff for rent on Cleveland Ave., just north of the airport. Just take a look.

There's a place in ATL called PROMOVE.
http://www.promove.com/atlanta/contact.aspx

Not sure how the web site works, but you walk into the place, tell them what type of apartment you're looking for, what area, price range, and they give you tons of brochures with lots of info on each property and floor plans. The apartment complexes pay to have their stuff displayed, so it's free to you and they won't try to steer you toward any specific property. That would work for a rental loft.

To buy a loft, maybe Harry Norman realty. Kind of a local firm, but you'd get the same listings with just about any national branch with an office in Atlanta.

As for the choices near the airport, those are very convenient and probably more affordable, but you will sacrifice availability of things to do on your days off. Plenty of restaurants and Targets around, but it's not where people go out. Anything between the airport and I-20 is a wasteland, culturally. I'm sure where the immediate neighborhood is fine, but that's not the kind of area where I'd go for a long run. Highlands, Decatur, Vinings, Buckhead, East Atlanta all have different scenes and lots to do. Of course, you can live by the airport and drive to any of these areas, but just something to consider.

PROMOVE will NEVER stop calling you and harassing you!

You ain't kidding!

I've used Promove as well and it's a good deal. They give you brochures of apartments in the areas you choose, you pick which ones you're interested in, and they call each place to find out about their availabilities and curent specials. Verys simple and very free.

< Has a freedom guy in my crashpad. It is 5 min from the airport off Virginia ave. Everything is provided. I gave you the name to call and phone numbers. All you need to do is call.

lmao. Oh, you should hear this guy talk about them. He is on his way out and has nothing but great things to say about freedom. hehe.. NOTTTT. It is funny to hear this guy talk about them. He loves the purple wind breaker.
