I will most likely have an interview soon. I'm a former intern and will have bare minimums when I do interview. Was wondering if you knew of anyone with bare mins hired recently and will my low CFI time be a disqualifier with most other interviewees having many more hours than myself? Thanks

Best of luck, but you are nowhere near the competitive numbers, we are getting lots of FLYI and Air Whisky guys. Even internal applicants are having a hard time.

A couple friends of mine have been hired right at mins in the last 6 months, so never say never.

I know of a handful of people that are getting in at the minimums. If you've got the interview, you've already got a foot and a half in the door. Just prepare well and the interview will be a breeze. Good luck and I'll see you online.

I was an intern last fall and I got hired with the bare minimums.

You forgot to tell him you were hired into the RJ too :) I'll be back to SMF Tuesday PM after a four day. We need to fire some beer up and trade some war stories. I hung out at Raley's the other night cuz' your woman said you were on your way there. I figured you must of had problems keeping that "Beemer" up to highway speeds all the way from our base and I went home after 1/2 an hour waiting. My Benz doesn't have that problem :) BTW: ZB liked this one on the way back from the hangar in SLC to the Candlewood one night when we were cruzin' in BG's Benz- What's the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? You'll find the pricks on the outside of a porcupine!

???????? I know plenty of guys that were hired at bare mins. I was one of them. My buddy who I met interview day and now see in the crew lounge was also at bare mins. he got an interview without knowing anyone, and just applied online. They called him out of sheer luck. Anyone can get the interview, getting hired is another story. I also met a guy from my airport that was interviewing the same day as me. When we studied together the guy didn't even know what CTAF meant. Anyone can get the interview! Once you there, its your time to shine.
