Flown a conquest II, dash 10 for almost 4 years. Probably around 1500 -1800 hours. Never stalled a compressor and haven't heard of it either.

Have heard different theories about shaft bow and turning the props. FOM says to turn the props within 15 minutes after shutdown. This helps expel risidual heat in the engine (as mentioned in a previous post), enhances fuel nozzle life, and reduces air seal drag if a quick restart is attempted.

I have never experienced shaft bow myself so nothing more to say.

We operate a ton of metros with TPE 331-11U engines. Never have I heard of anyone here having a compressor stall. Shaft bow we have had problems with. Last summer we had to change out three or four engines because of it. Since then we now turn the props 40 blades insted of 20 and we didnt have any cases of case rub due to shaft bow this past summer. Tends to be worse in the summer because here in AZ the air doesnt cool the engine as well when its 120 degrees. I have never personally had a problem with a TPE-331 engine.
