OK, so they take pilots with less experience than in the US, and you can fly from a "Gateway at most major European cities". I don't know what "18 days roster" means; is that time on or time off?...

So the question is: Why do NJ pilots seem to get a better deal in EU than here in the good 'ol U.S. of A? Could there be (heaven forbid!) a pilot shortage over there?

I don't see where they have it better dude.

18 day roster means that they are all on reserve instead of the 7 n 7 option. That measn more time away from home. Gateways at "most Major European Cities". Well hell, they are not offereing anything like the HBA system then. It sound more like the Domicile system the company has for our newhires. Europe is just smaller and easier to get around is the difference.

I don't see this ad is from NJA Europe anyway... 9th year of operation?? NetJets Transportes Aércos S.A.... Never heard of that before. Hmmmm.

also don't forget airlining to your aircraft is not conisdered duty.

I've got quite a few friends over there. The place is marginal at best.

Operational headquarters are in Lisbon, Portugal hence the "Transportes Aercos" name.

Several NJI pilots went over to help them get their G-IV and then G-V programs up and running and have since returned. One word comes to mind: YIKES.

That explains the roster, though I agree it doesn't sound like they have HBA like you guys. "Most European cities" is a pretty vague description.

If the organization is that bad, then that explains the 1500-hour total time requirement. Odd that the "same" Netjets over there has a lower flight time requirement than here.

I am often amazed at the low quality of companies serving the corporate aviation world. One would think a higher caliber would be demanded by these wealthier individuals and corporations.

This is from the NJE website:

In addition, if successful at interview, pilots will need to be able to pass a Transportation Security Agency Clearance to train in the USA before we can make an offer of employment. To pass this security screening, pilots need to meet the following requirements:
• current and valid type rating on an aircraft with a weight of more than 12,500lbs
• date of last flight no more than 90 days from the date on which we would send
you for training in the USA, typically 30 days after the start of employment.

NetJets does not hire direct-entry captains. To apply for a flight deck position, pilots should submit a one-page CV, with a covering letter and photograph, to [email protected]
We aim to acknowledge the receipt of all CVs within two weeks.
Applicants are advised to include the following details in their CV. List your total hours and most current aircraft type flown. Include multi-engine hours and jet time. Clearly state when you would be available to start employment should you be successful at a NetJets selection. List all relevant flight training, with dates and locations, but omit primary education history. Under 'Employment history', be sure to include dates of employment and types of aircraft flown. Please keep the CV to one page.
Your covering letter should tell us why you are interested in working for NetJets; it should also explain any gaps in the dates on the CV, and state why NetJets would benefit from adding you to its flight deck crew.

Have a good holiday everyone!
