Where do these hideous settlement dollars come from? Big Tabbacco? sure...they raise the cost of a pack to cover it, but they also are big Intl' conglomerates....and they raise everything to cover it...including the Kraft products that many lower income folks are struggling to buy to feed thier famallies...and who wins? the lawyers who are taking 30-50% of these billions..

...I'm sorry I started the whole thread. This wasn't supposed to be a discussion of cigarette smoking! I could just have easily called it "Terror vs. Hunger," and compared 9/11 to the number of people who starve each year.

My point was that if our government is going to spend my hard-earned money, I wish they'd spend it on things that will make a difference instead of a phony "War on Terrorism"...or tobacco subsidies, for that matter.

I think the problem could be easily solved by the moderator creating yet another board... potpourri or something like that.

That way, those of us trying to find information on the airlines won't have to sift through all the cr@p, and those of you who want to post threads such as how tobacco kills so many people, or what to name your baby, can discuss those things in there.

I found (years ago), a Federally funded study on the flow rate of ketchup, I am unable to find the link at this point in time. Just thought that you would like to know that the program found Heinz to have the best flow to quality ratio, (Only out of the Glass bottle).

You don't like it, then tune out! I thought it was a good debate topic! Several intertwined (?) issues. Bring more of 'em on! Sure a lot better than hearing all the whining about scopes and scabs.

As for this caregory, it's not even supposed to be airline stuff. Just general aviation topics. there's plenty of room to have airline discussion here or in other categories. Also, how about those aviators like me who really don't care a whole lot about airline info? Maybe you airline only dudes should go over pprune.com or whatever that airline only site is.
