I heard that if the cabin is full offline jumpseaters can occupy a flight atttendant jumpseat. Is there any truth to this? Do the gate agents know this?

Also, I'm thinking about using F9 down Mexico. Do we have to pay a departure tax in DEN of only coming out of Mexico?
