Let me guess. You work for a legacy, and this was the wet dream you had last night? Which legacy do you work for? ( Not expecting an answer because d'bags like you normally won't say).

I too use to love the ide of working for SWA. Instead I got hired at CAL about 1.5 years ago and can honestly say that I must have been nuts to ever think about going to SWA and retiring there.

Looks like it's CAL

This person obviously doesn't remember or wasn't at CO when they were the scum of the industry in the mid to late 80's or filed BK in the early 90's.

I think that Allegiant has shown they can remain profitable even with oil at $110. They have very high load factors and basically guaranteed bookings with all the casino stuff they do. It's highly unlikely they will go anywhere soon. Spirit is private so we don't know much about their financials, but they also have been saying high oil hurts them, but they can maintain profitability. JetBlue isn't going anywhere now that Lufthansy is involved. They may infact surprise us all with increased growth out west and more international stuff down south if they can fund it with Lufthansy money. AirTran will be bought by SWA is my prediction so they may not be around in current form, but they will be around. The only airline out there that I see in current danger is possibly Frontier. I'm not sure someone would buy them due to the competition in Denver. Other than that, I think the biggest casualties in the next few years are going to be the regional airlines that are flying 50-seat jets.
