Our DO just jumpseated to Bogota with us the other night and said that Focus was in deed in Ch 11. Don't know if it is true or not, but a bunch of our FEs and loadmasters have jumped ship to Focus in the last 6 months. I don't have any reason to believe our DO would lie, but who knows...would like to know the acutal status of Focus. They started with a lot of money but they also had their planes sitting around for close to a year which had to hurt them. Ch 11 would be bad for them because it would hurt their credit for fuel, etc.

Sounds like urban legend to me. According to all my friends that work there, it is a workers paradise. Plus they (Focus) now own a years worth of 747 Sim periods (the good day-time ones) paid up-front at downtown Miami Springs. New laptops for crews. Cool wings and epaulets. Top notch pay (for an ACMI). I'm sorry I didn't jump ship for them. But, you znooze, you looze. ZZZZZZZZZZZ.

furlough took place for about 30 people on the first of the year, now mostly everyone is recalled. it's going ok, but who knows what the future brings.

I heard from a former Centurian crewmember that his former DO was spreading the rumor of Focus' demise to stem the tide of crewmembers trying to leaving that place. It appears that Focus is ok, and the investers are happy with the progress of the airline to this point and more airplanes are coming. GO FOCUS!!!.

I heard from a former Centurian crewmember that his former DO was spreading the rumor of Focus' demise to stem the tide of crewmembers trying to leaving that place. It appears that Focus is ok, and the investers are happy with the progress of the airline to this point and more airplanes are coming. GO FOCUS!!!.

I heard from a former Centurion CP that also used to be a former Centurion DO that all the former Centurion crewmembers that wanted to goto Focus are already there. All the other non-former Centurion crewmembers enjoy the QOL of being home 20+ days a month instead of the other way around.

There are many people at Centurion that have 747 experience and most of them like being home for once in their life.


Like I said earlier, I hope Focus does well.

Focus top notch pay?

Hardly.

They somewhere in the medium-rare category: Captains @ $98.00 per hour, but some screwy 2 month guarantee and scheduled flight pay only, with no block.

Heard the details a while ago and I did not jump.

Not saying it could not be a first class ops in the future however, but for right now the compensation package is a bit "Ho-Hum".

I applied at Evergreen with a referal last year but I guess I didn't have what they wanted. I get the impression they really want more like 5000, but I don't know the times of those who were hired.
