Anyone get here much to comment about ATC,Services and airport, clearances outboud,Etc, 1st time

No problems at all modern ATC,, Some high terrain to the NORTH.

There is an office on ground ramp level under the terminal area where they will complete paperwork and file your flightplans.

If you run into any language problems there are some english speakers at TACA AEROMAN that may be helpful.

There is a hotel about a mile up the road on the right that is gated with 24 hour security where the military pilots stay. Decent place excellent food secure.

OR the radisson over the mountain in downtown is nice, huge breakfast, lots of hoochie on the weekends. to bo koo.....

Dont wear an MS13 T shirt or make unusual hand gestures as law enforcement has shoot to kill orders anyone associated with ms13

Since there's only 3 cops and one police car he won't have any problems if he flew a MS13 banner behind his plane.

San Salvador (MYSM) is where he's going.

jimmyw,

Its like any other out-island. Nassau approach brings you in and when you descend to the airport its all basically VFR rules, see-and-avoid. Cancel with them or on the ground with Nassau RDO. Or on your way out pick up your clearance in the air. Airport services, I don't know how they changed, its been a good 8 years since I've been there. File your outbound flight plan before you go in case you can't get Nassau RDO on the ground, or just pick it up in the air. They might have someone on the ground there that will call it in for you. Just been a long time since I've been there, don't want to steer you wrong.
